So Craft Crazy

So what to name it... Why is it so hard to come up with a name? I have wanted to start a blog for some time now. What has stopped me you might ask.  Naming it. I still have second thoughts about the names I have chosen for my kids, business, and dogs so why would this be any different? A name seems so final. Sure there are nick-names and such, but who is kidding themselves, we are all judged by our names.

For example: my name is Melissa. Sure it was a super cool name in the late 70's. But how many little babies are named Melissa now-a-days? Not many. Melissa is like Ester, Elma, and Lucielle; a generational name.  When I get an email from a Kelly, Michelle, or Melissa I am pretty certain they are in their 30's. Now I hope you know that I mean no offense to those with these names! It is just my observation.

I have decided to name my blog So Craft Crazy because I believe I am in fact Craft Crazy, a term I think I made up myself. To me it means that being crafty has taken over my life. I have created a business based on my craftiness. My kitchen table has to be cleared of my supplies before we can eat a meal. My craft supplies have taken over a sun room, garage, and most of the rest of the house.

Although I don't believe So Craft Crazy is a generational name like my own name, I am exctied to see what it morphs into. I want to share my crafting with you, but I want to also include everything else that goes on in my household. I am the mother of 18 month old twin boys and a 5 year old daughter. My 15 year old step daughter also lives with full time. So even though I will focus mostly on my crafty happenings, I am certain you will get a glimpse of my other fun-filled adventures as well.

So here's to hoping that the name "So Craft Crazy" makes me believe I have chosen the correct name for my future baby (AKA this blog).
